Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science with clinical rotation.
• Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science AND completion of an accredited MLS program.
• Bachelor's Degree with completion of 60 semester/90 quarter hours including chemistry/biology and 12 semester/18 quarter hours plus 3 months full-time clinical experience in all lab areas.

Responsibilities

• The position is responsible for professional Medical Laboratory Scientist bench duties within the laboratory, for the assigned section(s).
• The position performs routine and complex tests or analyses in any of these potential sections (as assigned): Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Toxicology, Microbiology, Molecular, Mycology, Immunohematology, LIS and Lean.
• The position has responsibility for planning, performing and evaluating laboratory testing analysis; and establishing and/or maintaining communications with physicians, patients, other hospital personnel, professional associations, and other organizations.
