Qualifications

• ASCP, HEW, AMT or equivalent certification within six months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical lab science or medical technology, or an associate degree in a lab science from an accredited institution.
• Hospital laboratory experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of QC/QA, process improvement, and age-related lab values with solid communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical quality testing for neonates to geriatric patients in the lab.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, AABB, FDA and CLIA standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
