Job summary

HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform technical procedures, collect and process specimens from patients of all ages, and support clinical testing in a fast-paced hospital lab.

The role requires MT/MLT certification or eligibility, 1–2 years of lab experience preferred, and strong communication skills for collaboration with physicians and nurses. No travel is required.

Qualifications

• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly with coworkers, physicians, nursing staff and patients.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: MT (ASCP), MLT, or specialty, or eligible for registry preferred.
• Education: Associates/Bachelors or High school Diploma/GED with work experience prior to 1995.
• Experience: Prefer 1-2 years of clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs all technical procedures and maintains proficiency in procedures and protocols.
• Collects and processes specimens from patients of all ages, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Performs test requests on patients with diverse clinical conditions and communicates with other health care professionals.
