• Documents calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments.
• Ensures quality control and quality assurance per protocol.
• Collects specimens from patients of various ages according to protocol.
• Provides training and guidance to technicians and support staff.
• Supports compliance with accrediting standards in acute care.
• Performs proficiency testing and supports turnaround time goals.
• Provides direct support to critical care departments during high acuity events.
