Job summary

HCA HealthONE Swedish is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician in Colorado to perform high‑quality clinical testing for diverse patient populations. The role requires maintaining CAP/JCAHO/OSHA/AABB/FDA/CLIA standards, continuing MT education, and ensuring instrument QC and verification.

The ideal candidate will hold ASCP or AMT certification within 6 months of hire (ASCP preferred) and an associates degree in a related science, with bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• ASCP or AMT certification within 6 months of hire, ASCP preferred.
• Associate degree in related science required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Certification by ASCP or AMT or accredited MLT with ASCP eligibility is accepted.
• Hospital laboratory experience is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical quality testing for neonatal to geriatric patients per CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, AABB, FDA, and CLIA standards.
• Apply MT knowledge to improve clinical testing through ongoing education and procedure adherence.
• Maintain knowledge of all procedures and protocols and perform QC and equipment verification.

Education

Associate degree in related science

Bachelor’s degree in related science preferred

ASCP or AMT certification within 6 months of hire

ASCP Board Certification accepted via MLT program
