Job summary

Think Whole Person Healthcare seeks a Medical Technologist to support our Laboratory department in Omaha, NE. This full-time role processes patient specimens, performs the required tests, and ensures accurate results consistent with CLIA moderate complexity guidelines.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, testing, reporting, and maintaining records while adhering to quality control and privacy standards. Training is provided with a 4–6 week rotation; hours are days, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related science, including a one-year internship in an approved clinical laboratory.
• MLS/MLT certification required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical, hospital, or referral laboratory setting, utilizing EHR.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate complexity testing and waived testing under CLIA definitions.
• Follow procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document calibrations and maintenance.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisor.
• Follow corrective action policies when systems deviate from performance specs.
• Document corrective actions taken for test system deviations.
