Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist for the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha. This 40-hour role runs 2:30p-11:00p with rotating weekends every 3rd week, performing diagnostic laboratory tests across multiple benches and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualified candidates hold a BS in MLS/CLS/Medical Technology, with NAACLS-aligned certification and 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• NAACLS-accredited MLS/MT/CLS program certificate required/preferred.
• ASCP MT/MLS certification within 6 months of hire or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of Medical Laboratory Scientist and report test analyses accurately.
• Document orientation and training to ensure competence and accreditation readiness.
• Maintain knowledge of QA and regulatory requirements; participate in proficiency testing.
