FAMILY HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT COMPANY in Millard - Omaha, NE is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our clinical team. You will perform tests across multiple disciplines, process specimens, and help ensure accurate, timely results that support patient care.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent from an accredited program.
  • Completion of a NAACLS-accredited MLT program.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent).
  • Current state licensure, if applicable

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical laboratory testing across hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, immunology, microbiology, and blood bank.
  • Prepare and process specimens with proper identification, handling, and storage.
  • Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Review results and communicate critical findings to providers and care team.
  • Document results in the Laboratory Information System and participate in QC activities.
  • Follow CLIA, CAP, OSHA, infection-control, and safety requirements.

Education

Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
NAACLS-accredited MLT program
MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
Current state licensure, if applicable

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be an essential part of the clinical team—providing the reliable testing providers need to diagnose conditions, guide treatment decisions, and deliver the best possible care. What You’ll Do
  • Perform clinical laboratory testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Immunology, Microbiology, and Blood Bank
  • Prepare and process specimens while ensuring proper identification, handling, storage, and integrity
  • Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Review and validate test results, recognizing discrepancies and unexpected findings that require additional attention
  • Accurately document results in the Laboratory Information System
  • Promptly communicate critical or urgent results to providers, nurses, and other clinical team members
  • Participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and continuous quality-improvement activities
  • Follow CLIA, CAP, OSHA, infection-control, and laboratory safety requirements
  • Help maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure supplies are properly stocked
  • Participate in continuing education and training to strengthen your skills and remain current with laboratory practices

Qualifications
