Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Technologist for the Akron City campus—Critical Care Lab. This full-time, 2nd shift position offers exposure to a wide range of specimens and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

As a MT/MLS, you will perform diverse lab procedures under supervision, exercise professional judgment, and may serve as CLIA Technical Consultant or Supervisor when delegated.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed laboratory procedures.
• Use of computers to operate department applications.
• Minimum of 12 continuing education credits per calendar year.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory procedures under supervision, following manuals and SOPs.
• Prioritizes test requests and manages workload efficiently.
• Exercise professional judgment and may serve as CLIA Technical Consultant/Supervisor if delegated.
