Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist/Medical Technologist for the Barberton campus on the 3rd shift. This role performs a variety of lab procedures and supports physician diagnoses with accurate results, in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have a Bachelor of Science in a relevant field, eligibility for MLS/MT certification, and the ability to handle detailed procedures and stringent regulatory requirements. A competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science required listing Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or Clinical Laboratory Science; transcripts/equivalency required.
• ASCP or AMT certification from ASCP or AMT or Summa Lab Tech 1 training program; registry eligibility may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures under supervision using standard and specialized techniques.
• Exercise professional judgment to prioritize and manage test workload.
• Read and follow detailed laboratory procedures and use department software.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, MLS/Lab Science
