Job summary

Summa Health System is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Technologist for the Barberton campus on the 3rd shift. The role performs a variety of laboratory procedures under supervision to support physicians in diagnosis and treatment.

Required BS in Biology/Chemistry/MLS, MT/MLS or AMT/ASCP certification or registry eligibility, and ongoing CE credits. Candidates must demonstrate accuracy, good communication, and ability to work under pressure in a busy laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, MLS or CLAS listed areas.
• Certification as MT/MLS or AMT/ASCP, or registry eligibility.
• Ability to read and follow detailed laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of laboratory procedures under supervision.
• Recognizes, prioritizes, and facilitates test workload efficiently.
• Maintains accurate results and communicates with physicians.
