Job summary

Synectics Inc. seeks a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist for third shift (2am–10:30am, Central). The role handles specimen processing, quality control, and reporting results in a fast-paced lab environment.

Candidates should have a strong background in hematology and certification readiness, with strict adherence to CLIA/HIPAA guidelines. Experience with QA/QC, recordkeeping, and procedure documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Medical Technology or related degree is preferred.
• Alternative: BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or an Associate's in Laboratory Science/Medical Technology.
• Candidates may be nationally certified MT/MLT (ASCP or AMT).
• Foreign-educated candidates require credential evaluation (IERF).
• US-educated candidates must provide a detailed original transcript.
• Solid understanding of basic laboratory testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, test analyses, and reporting.
• Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved procedures; review and release results.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
• Document QC activities, calibrations, and maintenance.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisor.
• Report STATS or Critical results to clients as required.
• Maintain complete on-site testing records and department safety.
