Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, University Hospital – Rhodes Hall, is seeking a Medical Technologist to join the Critical Care Laboratory team on the third shift. You will perform routine automated and manual procedures, verify and report test requests, troubleshoot analyzers, review quality control values, and call critical results.

Minimum education is a 4-year degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a NAACLS‑accredited program; ASCP/AMT/MLS certification is required,

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an NAACLS-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine automated and manual procedures.
• Verify and report test requests, troubleshoot analyzers and test methods.
• Review quality control values and results; address pre-analytical issues.
• Handle phone inquiries from internal and external customers and call critical value results.
