Job summary

Patient First is seeking a clinical laboratory professional to provide quality and rapid lab results while following standardized procedures. The role involves specimen processing, reporting, maintaining records, and assisting physicians and nurses with patient care.

The candidate should be prepared to work in a high-volume environment and participate in ongoing training. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, essential typing skills, familiarity with lab instruments, and

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and high school graduate with related coursework in chemistry/biology or medical lab tech.
• Typing experience required; strong communication and documentation skills.
• Two years of clinical lab testing experience preferred; knowledge of lab principles and test reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and rapid lab results with proper procedures and safety.
• Follow procedures for specimen collection, testing, reporting and records.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document calibrations and maintenance.
• Order lab supplies as directed by physicians and manage records in the system.
• Assist physicians and nurses with patient care and triage as needed.
• Maintain clean and stocked lab and treatment areas; ensure safety and equipment readiness.
