Job summary

Patient First is seeking a skilled laboratory technician in the United States to join its lab team. You will perform quality and rapid lab analyses, handle specimen collection and processing, and report results while maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety practices.

The role requires appropriate education in chemistry/biology or clinical lab science, CPR certification, and the ability to lift 20-50 lbs. Compensation ranges from $31.50 to $35.50 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and able to communicate well in writing and speech.
• Minimum 60 college hours with chemistry/biology or a related field, or an appropriate lab program.
• CPR certification and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience or training in venipuncture and specimen handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and rapid lab results with knowledge of analyses, procedures, equipment, and safety.
• Follow procedures for specimen collection, handling, and reporting of test results, and maintain records.
• Assist with ordering supplies and support patient treatment and care as needed.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document calibrations, maintenance, and corrective actions.
