Job summary

The Lab Department at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – Lab in Winston-Salem is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a full-time, first-shift role with rotating weekends and holidays at the Winston Campus location.

You will perform tests, ensure QC/QA, maintain safety, and uphold current certifications. Requires MLT (ASCP) or equivalent and an associate degree (preferred); previous MLT experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
• Previous Medical Lab Technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of patient laboratory test results.
• Maintain QC/QA procedures to assure test result quality.
• Ensure safety and compliance in lab activities.
• Maintain current certifications and ongoing education.
• Promote efficient operations within the lab section.
• Collaborate with team to support hospital standards and effective communication.
