Job summary

Wilson Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join our lab team in Wilson, NC. This PRN position supports our community by delivering accurate testing and timely results in a high-volume hospital setting.

The role requires an associate degree in science, BLS within 30 days of hire if applicable, and MLT certification preferred. Prior hospital lab experience is a plus; strong English communication and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Science required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire preferred.
• One year of hospital setting experience preferred.
• MLT certification through ASCP or AMT preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment and communication skills.

What we're looking for

• Education: Associate's Degree in Science Required

• Certifications: BLS required within 30 days of hire

• Experience: One year of experience in a hospital setting preferred

• Skills and Abilities: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
