Job summary

Wilson Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a Pharmacist, NonExempt to join our team. This full-time Pharmacist role involves managing drug therapy protocols and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective medication use. A state license and BLS are required with 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Required; Doctoral Degree Preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• License: Pharmacy License in the state
• Experience: 1 year experience preferred
• Skills: Requires critical thinking and ability to work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
• Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
• Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's Degree Required; Doctoral Degree Preferred
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• License: Pharmacy License in the state
• Experience: 1 year experience preferred
• Skills and Abilities: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
