Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire.
  • License: Licensed as a radiation operator; Registered by ARRT.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Cardiac Cath Lab preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient care ensuring safety and error reduction.
  • Formulate and revise patient care plans based on response.
  • Monitor and communicate patient conditions effectively.
  • Coordinate patient care across disciplines including transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support.
  • Educate patient and family appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocate for patient rights and well-being.

How You'll Contribute

A Cardiac Cath Lab Technician who excels in this role:

  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
  • Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.

What We're Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire
  • License: Licensed by the state as a radiation operator; Registered by ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist; CI or RCIS - preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab - preferred
  • Skills and Abilities: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
