Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, CT, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks an MT/MLT to join the Automated Lab Team. Perform and report diverse analyses across lab sections, impacting diagnosis and patient care.

The role requires a BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology, MT- or MLT- ASCP eligibility, and welcomes new grads. Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP, or eligible to take certification within the first year.

Responsabilités

• Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.
• Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures.
• Ensures operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will perform and report a wide range of routine and highly complex analyses across multiple lab sections—directly impacting patient diagnosis, treatment decisions, and clinical outcomes.

What you will do:

• Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.

Minimum Requirements

• BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology
• MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP. Or must be eligible to take Certification exam and achieve certification within the first year of employment.

Pay Range:

$30.10 - $48.15

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
