Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our state-of-the-art laboratories. The role supports the diagnosis and treatment of disease through routine and complex tests, under supervision.

As a second shift (12:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m.) position, a $5,000 commitment bonus and second-shift differential are offered. ASCP certification is strongly preferred and a bachelor's degree in CLS/Medical Technology is required. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tests in clinical laboratories using standard techniques and equipment.
• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation according to SOP.
• Process patient samples for testing with proper identification.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of assay problems as directed by senior staff.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Participate in lab inspections and documentation.
• Adhere to safety procedures and quality control standards.
