Job summary

Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine and complex laboratory tests, support the diagnosis and treatment process, and maintain accurate records. The role requires MLT certification with an AA/AS degree; no experience is required beyond CLIA compliance.

Responsibilities include specimen handling, equipment calibration, and utilization of hospital information systems. Eligible for a $5,000 commitment bonus.

Qualifications

• AA/AS in clinical laboratory science or equivalent
• MLT certification required
• No experience required (meets CLIA requirements)
• Experience with patient contact and medical terminology is preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
• Prepare sterile media and culture materials.
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment; ensure quality control.
• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture or capillary methods.
• Operate hospital lab information systems and document results.
