Job summary

Responsibilities include QC, equipment checks, and collaboration with pathology staff in a fast-paced hospital lab.

The candidate should hold a CLS degree, be MLS certified or eligible, and have completed an externship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field (required).
• MLS certification or eligible by a recognized agency (required).
• Externship program completed (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens accurately and timely.
• Determines specimen acceptability via visual inspection and protocol guidance.
• Recognizes factors affecting measurements and acts per protocols.
• Performs quality control and ensures results meet established ranges.
• Maintains safe, clean work area and monitors equipment per hospital policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
