Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for multiple locations. The MLS will perform routine tests on blood, tissues, and other specimens and provide high-quality results to physicians using a variety of clinical laboratory equipment.

Required is a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science and MLS certification or eligibility (ASCP preferred). The role involves working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment with a 32-hour weekly schedule for Afternoon/Nights

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field from CLIA-approved program.
• MLS certification or eligible (ASCP preferred).
• Externship or related laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical tests on biological specimens accurately per procedures.
• Assess specimen acceptability via visual checks and result review.
• Monitor quality control and ensure results meet ranges before release.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and troubleshoot equipment.
• Collaborate with clinicians and staff to ensure patient safety.
