Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) for St. Francis Eastside to perform routine tests on blood, tissues, and other specimens with precise results for physicians. You will follow CLIA-approved lab protocols to assure patient safety and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field from a CLIA-approved program.
• MLS certification or eligibility (ASCP preferred).
• Externship program completed (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens, in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner in compliance with documented laboratory procedures.
• Performs quality control for all testing and ensures results are within established ranges before release to physicians.
• Maintains a safe and efficient work environment by monitoring equipment, cleaning work areas, and troubleshooting laboratory devices.
• Other duties as assigned.
