Qualifications

• BS in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology or Biochemistry from a CLIA-approved program.
• MLS Certification or eligible (ASCP preferred) by a recognized agency.
• Externship completed (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens in a timely, accurate manner.
• Determines acceptability of specimens by visual inspection and result review.
• Performs quality control and ensures results meet established ranges.
• Maintains a safe, clean work area and troubleshoots equipment as needed.
• Adheres to patient privacy and safety standards.
