• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology required.
• ASCP certification strongly preferred.
• Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tests in clinical laboratories using standard techniques and equipment.
• Operate manual or computerized instrumentation and calibrate equipment.
• Process patient samples for testing with proper identification to ensure accuracy.
• Review procedures for accuracy and implement quality control and quality assurance.
• Notify senior staff of instrument malfunctions and unusual results.
• Assist in development of new tests and participate in lab inspections.
