Community Hospital in Oklahoma City is hiring a Full Time Insurance Specialist with a $500 sign-on bonus. The role focuses on insurance verifications, pre-authorizations and patient billing, supporting accurate and timely reimbursement while delivering excellent customer service.

The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), EAP, and paid holidays.

Formación

• High School graduate or equivalent; 2 years college preferred.
• Experience in patient registration, verification and authorization in a medical setting.
• Knowledge of managed care, Medicare, workers’ compensation, indemnity and other third party payers.
• Ability to type 40 WPM and enter data accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with short timelines and prioritize effectively.

Responsabilidades

• Notify Case Management daily of inpatient/observation admissions to ensure communication with insurance companies.
• Verify and obtain insurance coverage and benefits via payer websites or by telephone for all patients registered for services.
• Obtain pre-authorizations and/or per-certifications for timely reimbursement and enter data into the system.
• Inform patients about payment expectations related to co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance; establish payment arrangements as needed.
• Post payments and balance cash drawer; log cash collections and generate receipts.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and document notes for billing inquiries.
• Provide assistance to patients regarding billing questions and open accounts.
• Monitor productivity and meet quality and service standards.
