Job summary

Community Hospital OKC is seeking a Customer Service Specialist in Oklahoma City to support the Central Billing Office. The role involves patient communication, resolving questions, processing payments, and screening for charity in a fast-paced, HIPAA-compliant environment.

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday with no weekends or major holidays, and requires excellent telephone and data-entry skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems is expected.

Qualifications

• Provides patient related support following CBO policies.
• Effective communication using Microsoft Office and phone skills.
• Understands the claim reimbursement process from patient encounter to resolution.
• Able to explain insurance EOB and charity guidelines clearly.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
• Researches and resolves patient questions and complaints.
• Helps set up payment plans and screen for charity eligibility.
• Maintains accurate demographic and insurance data in the system.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance in all communications.
