Oklahoma State University’s OSU Center for Health Sciences seeks an Insurance Verification Specialist. You will obtain authorizations for visits, surgeries, and tests, verify insurance coverage, and follow up with payers.

The role involves assisting schedulers, obtaining deductible and copay details, and coordinating with staff to secure timely payments. Requirements include a High School/GED and 1+ year experience with insurance verification; EPIC EHR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Typing speed 25 wpm and computer proficiency.
• EPIC EHR experience is a plus.
• Team player with ability to plan and prioritize work.
• Knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 codes is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Obtain necessary authorizations for office visits, surgeries, testing, and procedures.
• Verify insurance information and follow up on requests with payers.
• Assist surgery scheduler with scheduling and pre-op appointments.
• Collect deductible and copay information and arrange payment plans.
