Job summary

Block Imaging Parts & Service seeks a field service technician to install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain medical imaging equipment (X-ray, Ultrasound) across the United States. You will diagnose issues, perform calibrations, and ensure compliance with OEM specs and safety standards.

You will work independently in the field, communicating with customers and internal teams, while expanding technical knowledge and providing timely updates on service activities.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years’ experience in medical imaging engineering or equivalent.
• GE and/or Siemens X-ray and Siemens Ultrasound field service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service, install, evaluate, and maintain medical imaging equipment across the United States.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair imaging systems and computer components to meet OEM specifications and customer expectations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and resolve advanced electronic, mechanical, and network-related issues.
• Represent the company professionally during on-site visits and communicate customer feedback to internal teams.
• Expand technical knowledge continually and contribute to improving engineering competency.
• Provide timely project updates, insights, and responses to technical inquiries to support decision-making and customer satisfaction.
• Document new processes and provide training to end users, while supporting additional duties as needed.
• Ensure updates, calibrations or repairs are completed properly by running tests or diagnostics.
• Driving and vehicle operation are essential functions of this role.
