Job summary

Block Imaging is seeking a skilled field service technician to deliver high-quality technical support for medical imaging equipment, including X-ray systems. The role involves installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance across hospital and clinic sites in the Reading area.

You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure OEM specifications and safety standards are met while working independently in the field.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
1–7 years’ experience in medical imaging engineering or equivalent.
Preferred field service experience with medical imaging equipment (X-ray, mobile/portable X-ray/C-arm, Rad rooms).
Travel to hospital/clinic sites; frequent driving 30%+; must meet driver eligibility.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

Service, install, evaluate, and maintain medical imaging equipment across the United States.
Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair imaging systems to meet OEM specs and customer expectations.
Perform preventive maintenance and resolve advanced electronic, mechanical, and network issues.
Represent the company professionally during on-site visits and communicate feedback to internal teams.
Expand technical knowledge and contribute to improving engineering competency.
Provide timely project updates and respond to technical inquiries for customer satisfaction.
Document new processes and train end users; support additional duties as needed.
Ensure updates, calibrations or repairs are tested and completed properly.
