Job summary

Squirrel Hill Health Center in Brentwood, PA, is hiring a full-time Front Office Representative to support both the Brentwood and Squirrel Hill offices as needed. You will greet patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and document information in the electronic health records system, while verifying insurance details to ensure properly documented claims.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and effective communication with patients and clinicians.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years in an outpatient medical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience in medical insurance.
• Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task.
• Collaborative team player.
• Ability to speak Spanish or Nepali strongly preferred.
• Available to work in other SHHC sites as needed.
• Available to work a rotating shift including evenings (Tuesday and Thursday).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with check-in/check-out.
• Answer telephones and schedule appointments with providers.
• Document information in the electronic health records system.
• Verify and update insurance information and ensure claims have documentation before coding and submission.
• Facilitate communication among patients, nurses, clinicians, and staff.
