Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist - Float at our Pittsburgh outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet and register patients, schedule appointments, and handle patient communications and billing tasks to ensure a smooth visit.

Full-time role with a Monday–Friday schedule (hours vary; some evenings). Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour based on experience, with benefits for full-time staff. Join us to support patient care from the front desk and beyond.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of medical office experience is required.
• 1 year of front desk experience is preferred.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about visits and next appointment at checkout.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain communication with attorneys, insurance companies, translation services, market leaders and business development teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
