Job summary

Select Medical in Scranton, PA is hiring a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk and patient flow in our outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, register them, schedule visits, collect co-pays, and coordinate with insurers and attorneys as needed.

Join a full-time role with a Monday–Friday schedule, evening hours, and a benefits package including health coverage, 401(k) with match, and generous PTO. Prior front desk or healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 1 year front desk experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about visits and next appointments.
• Schedule patient appointments by in person or phone.
• Regular communication with attorneys, insurance companies, translation companies, market operations leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: Monday - Friday (hours vary/3 evening till 6pm per week)

Compensation:$18.00 - $20.00/hour (pending experience)
