Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist at our Tampa, FL outpatient physical therapy center. You will welcome patients, register them, explain visit steps, and schedule appointments both in person and by phone.

The role involves coordinating with insurance providers, attorneys, translation services, and internal teams, while handling co-pays and authorizations. A friendly, organized front desk professional with strong communication is ideal.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Insurance verification experience required.
• Preferred: 1 year of medical office and front desk experience; bilingual is a plus.

Mansioni

• Greet and register patients and provide information about their visit and next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Communicate with attorneys, insurance, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development teams.

Overview

Position: Patient Service Specialist

Location: Tampa, FL (Tampa Palms)

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule:Monday through Thursday (Between 7am to 7pm) & Friday (8am to 5pm)

Compensation:$16.00-$20.00/hour (pending experience)

As a patient service specialist, you'll manage both the patient side and the business side of our center. Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Insurance Verification Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience
• Previous therapy experience
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience
• Bilingual
