Job summary

Select Medical in Hilliard, OH, is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk operations at our outpatient physical therapy center. The role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, handling payer communications, and verifying insurance while supporting business operations.

This full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with competitive hourly compensation and benefits, including mentorship, generous PTO, medical plans, and a company 401(k) with matching.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year front desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about visit expectations and next appointment at checkout.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.

Type of Employment:Full-time

Schedule: Monday & Thrusday 10am-7pm / Tuesday, Wendesday & Friday 7am-4pm

Compensation:$16.00 - $18.00/hour (pending experience)
