Optum is a global organization delivering care with technology to improve health outcomes. This Lab/Radiology Receptionist role in Framingham MA supports patient insurance verification, billing tasks, and referral processing within a busy medical office.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, strong customer service and communication skills, and familiarity with MS Word, Outlook and Excel. Regular hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm, in-office in Framingham.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Additional specialized medical office training preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Verifies, re-verifies and authorizes patient insurance coverage using registration systems.
• Collects and posts patient co-payments and outstanding balances; tracks and resolves discrepancies.
• Maintains records, performs daily cash deposits, and handles telephone inquiries.
• Coordinates referrals and ensures managed care requirements are met.
• Updates and maintains patient charts, appointment reminders, and test results.
