Job summary

New York Health (NYH) seeks a Medical Front Desk Receptionist in Bayshore, NY. You will manage daily opening/closing procedures, greet patients, handle inquiries, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and maintain patient records in the EMR.

The role requires a high school diploma with 2+ years of patient-facing experience, excellent communication, and strong customer service skills; EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with at least 2 years of patient-facing reception experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• 1 year of EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open and close procedures of the office.
• Welcome patients and visitors in a pleasant, professional manner.
• Answer telephones; respond to inquiries; schedule patient appointments.
• Collect co-pays and balance daily finances for the office.
• Assist patients with completing forms and documentation; build patient records in the EMR.
• Maintain physician schedules according to the practice rubrics.
• Protect patient privacy by HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with daily tasks and other related responsibilities as needed.
