• Answer and screen phone messages; relay to appropriate staff.
• Register new patients and update demographics with detailed information.
• Assemble and file patient records; prepare identification documents.
• Facilitate patient flow by notifying staff of arrivals and delays.
• Protect PHI and log off computers to maintain confidentiality.
• Schedule outpatient and procedure appointments.
• Process copays, balances, and payment plans at checkout.
• Route incoming faxes and track referrals to ensure scheduling.
• Provide backup support for the Office Assistant.
