Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of medical office experience.
• Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate with patients, providers and staff at all levels.
• Bilingual, preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments per policy.
• Greet and check in patients on arrival.
• Verify demographics and health insurance; ensure current in systems.
• Verify health plan eligibility and HVVMG as the assigned medical group.
• Confirm next-day appointments.
• Assist patients with inquiries and direct to staff.
• Escalate concerns to department leadership as needed.
• Process referrals per policy.
• Document patient communications in EHR and systems.
• Collect co-payments and reconcile batches daily.
• Assist with training new staff.
• Participate in department meetings and huddles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
