Job summary

United Digestive in Atlanta, GA, seeks a Front Desk Representative to greet patients, collect payments, and prepare charts for upcoming visits. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED; CMA is preferred, with 2-3 years of gastroenterology experience.

You will work with Greenway EMR and Microsoft Office, maintain a welcoming waiting area, ensure data accuracy, and uphold HIPAA standards in daily patient interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; CMA preferred.
• 2-3 years of gastroenterology clinic experience preferred.
• Front Desk representative must be computer literate and able to operate Greenway and multiple Microsoft Practice applications.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, provide instructions and directions as needed.
• Collect co-payments and outstanding balances; manage patient monies.
• Assemble patient charts for next day visits and update patient profiles.
• Provide necessary HIPAA forms and ensure completion and signature.
• Inform clinical staff of patient arrivals and coordinate flow of patients.
• Maintain waiting area cleanliness and order; monitor patient flow and communicates issues.
• Answer emails/voicemails and return patient calls promptly.
• Ensure timely information requests from UD staff to guarantee payment on patient accounts.
• Comply with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements; participate in staff meetings and marketing activities as directed.
• Cross-train in other Practice functions (phone triage, scheduling, pre-certification, medical records).
