Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year front office and/or medical records experience in physician office or similar setting required.
• Must be able to use a computer and be familiar with Medical Office programs including EMR systems.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet applications required.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of front office duties for the medical practice.
• Greet and assist all patients and visitors.
• Secure accurate insurance and demographic information from the patient to be entered into computer system.
• Answer and route incoming telephone calls as needed.
• Assist with patient check out and scheduling of any ordered diagnostic procedures or future appointments.
• Perform medical records duties such as filing, scanning and send outs as required.
