Covenant Health's Covenant Medical Group is seeking a Patient Service Representative for Pellissippi Primary Care to provide front desk and check-out support, verify patient information, collect balances, and process encounter forms.

You will balance day-end duties, coordinate with physicians and care teams, and help ensure accurate billing through CPT-4 coding familiarity. This role offers full-time hours with day shift in Tennessee.

Formación

• No formal degree required; HS diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of medical office experience with scheduling, billing, ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding.
• Or three years of total customer-facing experience.
• Knowledge of insurance procedures is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains departmental policies, procedures, quality assurance, and safety standards.
• Answers telephone calls and routes as needed.
• Receives and records changes in patient information.
• Ensures insurance procedures are understood; identifies which plans are used.
• Records procedures and diagnoses on fee slips for charge entry.
• Schedules return visits and end-of-day procedures; balances at day end.
• Compiles data for billing personnel.
• Attends meetings and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborates with patient, physician, and care team members as part of a team-based approach.
