Job summary

Northwest Respiratory Services is seeking a Medical Equipment Delivery Driver to support patient care at homes in Des Moines, IA. This role acts as the face of the company, delivering respiratory equipment and educating patients on safe use to enhance health and quality of life.

You will engage with patients in person, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure proper operation through regular visits and clear communication. The position includes typical full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current state-issued driver’s license.
• Class C CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred; assistance to obtain required licenses offered.
• Background and motor vehicle checks as part of employment.
• Pass a mandated drug test, a physical capability test, and a DOT physical.
• Ability to lift, pull, push and carry heavy equipment daily (up to 165 lbs).
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Desire to work with the public and improve quality of life.
• Commitment to compassionate, ethical customer care.

Responsibilities

Job Location: 10 Des Moines - Des Moines, IA 50317, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $23.00 Hourly, Travel Percentage: Road Warrior, Northwest Respiratory Services seeks a Medical Equipment Delivery Driver to join our team.

This person is the face of the company for our customers, providing empathetic and highly accurate communication in support of their health and quality of life. You will educate patients on the use of their equipment, troubleshoot issues, check-in with patients to ensure proper and safe use of their equipment, and build trust with our customers through regular face-to-face interactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Make deliveries in a straight truck or van, up to 16 feet in length


• Deliver and educate on safe use and care of respiratory equipment at each patient’s residence.


• Document patient interactions for compliance and billing accuracy


• Resolve patient equipment problems on an as needed basis

Qualifications: Key Requirements

• Current state issued driver’s license.
