The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia's Department of Medicine seeks a part-time Medical Education Programs Coordinator to support the residency program. MEPCs coordinate daily operations, assist with recruitment, and ensure compliance with accrediting bodies while working with program directors.
Responsibilities include scheduling, coordinating curriculum and rotations in New Innovations, preparing materials, and providing education planning and event support.
The Department of Medicine seeks a part-time Medical Education Programs Coordinator with a focus on its residency program. Medical Education Programs Coordinators (MEPCs) participate in the planning, preparation, and implementation of programs, daily operations, and educational activities for training programs, and as a result, they operate with additional authority, independence, or level of complexity. Beyond basic administrative duties, MEPCs develop materials, coordinate calendars, interact with educational program participants, and ensure compliance with relevant national organizations to maintain high standards of programs. They work independently but receive assignments and direction from supervisors and Program Directors. MEPCs are responsible for recruitment, record maintenance, communications, adherence to accreditation requirements, and curriculum support.

Education: High school diploma/GED
Experience: 3+ years of relevant professional experience required.
Licensure: None.
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Previous experience with graduate medical education
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
