Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago seeks an Education Coordinator to oversee a medical education training program, including fellowship, residency, and clerkship activities. You will manage programs, budgets, and trainee communications under the direction of the Program Director.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with at least one year in program administration or related experience; preferred experience in medical education settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of experience in program/project administration or related.
• Preferred: prior program administration experience in undergraduate or graduate medical education.

Responsibilities

• Administration: support the program director, maintain databases, and schedule activities.
• Budgets & Financial: develop, monitor, and report on yearly training program budget; manage purchasing.
• Communication, Outreach & Recruitment: manage match responsibilities and recruitment processes.
• Evaluation: improve workflow, cost effectiveness, and standardize procedures.
• Human Resources: oversee trainee orientation and onboarding; track trainee status.
• Program Development: assist in accreditation site visits and policy development.
• Regulatory Compliance: apply ACGME and hospital policies to ensure compliance.
• Trainee Support: supervise trainees and coordinate rotations and external collaborations.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
