Job summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks an administrative coordinator to manage medical student activities within the Emergency Medicine department, including M3 rotations and M3/M4 electives, with a focus on coordinating schedules and faculty support.

You will liaison with Academic Affairs, assist with evaluations and student orientation, and help deliver education seminars for residents, while handling confidential materials and ensuring timely grade submission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of work experience in a comparable role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the medical student education activities in the department for internal and visiting students and supports the Research seminar series delivered to all residents.
• Serves as liaison with Academic Affairs in scheduling students and completing enrollment forms.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining the master ED shift schedules for all medical students during rotations.
• Coordinates orientation - prepares materials and assists with student orientation and training.
• Prepares and assists with medical education materials utilized during the rotations and student orientation activities.
• Assists with evaluations and grading - prepares, collects, and computes all medical student confidential evaluation forms.
• Files completed evaluations for each student and forwards to Academic Affairs.
• Proctors exams during rotations and assists with grade preparation and presentation of materials to the Director.
• Maintains confidential evaluation paperwork and communicates student concerns to faculty, administration and Academic Affairs.
