Job summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria is seeking a Med-Peds Hospitalist for a full-time academic appointment. The role combines inpatient and outpatient duties across Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, with teaching of medical students and residents on inpatient rounds and in clinics.

The position offers opportunities for curriculum development, research and quality improvement, as well as leadership within UICOMP's Med-Peds program and its CHOI/SFMC affiliations in Peoria.

Qualifications

• Eligible for licensure in Illinois.
• Board certified or eligible in Med-Peds (Internal Medicine and Pediatrics).
• Completed 4 years of Med-Peds residency or in final year of training.
• MD/DO degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead inpatient and outpatient teaching rounds for Med-Peds.
• Provide clinical services for CHOI and SFMC patients.
• Organize and conduct research and quality improvement projects.
• Possible precepting in the Med-Peds residency clinic at Heartland Health Center.
• Participate in undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs.
• Perform other duties of a university faculty member including committees, curriculum development and mentorship.
• Engage in special projects as assigned.
