Job summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) Med-Peds Division seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Med-Peds physician for a full-time academic appointment. The role can be inpatient, outpatient, or a mix, with a dual appointment in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

The hospitalist will lead rounds, participate in teaching, conduct patient care, and may engage in research, quality improvement, and curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Eligible for licensure in Illinois.
• Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.
• Successful completion of 4 years of Med-Peds residency.

Responsibilities

• Lead teaching rounds and teach medical students and residents in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
• Provide inpatient clinical services for patients on hospital services.
• Possibly conduct outpatient precepting in Med-Peds residency clinic.
• Engage in research, quality improvement, curriculum development, and education leadership.
